there is a little bit of circus in everyone!
What will I learn at Circus Camp?
You will learn how to strengthen and stretch
your body to do Aerial Arts & Acrobatics. You
will learn tricks on trapeze and silk apparatus as
well as acrobatic skills on the floor. Plus
Balancing skills on rolla bolla, stilts and a
training tight wire.
Juggling/Manipulation skills with scarfs, balls,
poi & hula hoops.
Performance: Clowning, Ribbon Dancing.
What should I wear and bring to Circus Camp?
Clothing that is breathable and allows your
torso, hips, knee and arm pits to be mobile
and covered. Leotard, fitness shirt with fitness
pants that are tapered at the ankle.
Bagged lunch, snacks and water bottle. We take
breaks for snacks and water.
This year 2018 camp will be held:
Week 1 August 6th -10th
Week 2 August 13th-17th
Camp circus shows on both Friday's last day of camp Aug. 10th and Aug 17th!
A typical Day at Circus Camp:
8:30-9:00AM - Arrive & warm up games
9:00-10:00AM - Solo\Partner Acro
10:00-10:15AM - Snack Break
10:15-11:15AM - Aerial Class
11:15-12:00AM - Juggling/Balance Class
12:00-1:00PM - Lunch Break
1:00-1:30PM - Games/Free Gym Play
1:30-2:30PM - Partner Acro
2:30-3:15PM - Aerial Class or Clowning
3:15-3:30PM - Rest & Recap
Circus Summer Camp is an awesome way to spend your summer. Try trapeze, stilt walking, ribbon dancing, tumbling, hula hoops, juggling toys, juggling sticks, Chinese yoyo, partner acrobatics and even fall down laughing in CLOWING class. Red noses will be provided. There will be a day for all kids to get there face painted. The program will concluded with a Circus for parents to attend starring your kid(s). That's right we put on a full circus show for all the students to show there parents some awesome circus skills they have learned at Circus Summer Camp! This program is run one or more weeks in the summer.
